Welcome to Flipfolio, a blog exploring the world of niche finance

Flipfolio is where passionate young professionals share insights about their journey exploring niche topics in finance and beyond

Activist Hedge Funds

Are activist investors good? Bad? What do they even do? Here I will share what I have learned about these so called corporate raiders and why I find the practice so interesting. From discussing board room battles to case studies covering current situations, you’ll be sure to develop an opinion on activist investing here.

Distressed Investors

Business and finance isn’t always pretty. Thriving growth and surplus cashflow won’t be found here. This is where you’ll find bankruptcies, restructurings and the occasional turn around story. Read about distressed companies, capital structure advisory, and how investors take advantage of these situations.

Interesting Trends

Wall Street is full of smart people finding creative ways to do business. Whether it is a new innovative transaction structure or investment vehicle, there is always something interesting to learn about. Join me on this journey of intellectual discovery and maybe get a few bright investment ideas.

Hi I’m Kenny

As a recent college graduate and young finance professional, I have realized how complex and niche the world of finance can get. During my investment banking summer internship at Moelis, I had worked across capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, and shareholder advisory assignments.

My time spent on shareholder advisory peaked my interest into the world of Activist Hedge Funds which I had zero prior exposure to during my time as an undergraduate. As a result, I started Flipfolio to share my growing interest in these niche subjects and inspire young professionals to explore the world of finance to the fullest extent.
